About Larna Cleary
Experience.
25 years of classroom experience.
But if you want to learn the craft of the classroom, Larna can teach you the very best skills and practice to build and sustain an outstanding learning environment each and every day.
Larna offers her experience from roles that include Leading Teacher (Learning Improvement / Teaching and Learning F – 6 / English Curriculum Leader / Literacy and Numeracy Curriculum co-ordinator), Learning Specialist (English), Music Specialist and, most importantly, as a full time classroom teacher.
Her love of children’s literature, embedding First Nations’s perspectives and using music, continue to be essential to her successful classroom practice. She has a particular interest in students that require behaviour support and she acts upon her core belief that building relationships is the key to success in the classroom.
Larna is passionate about supporting teachers, classroom practice, teacher education and curriculum delivery. Most of all, she is passionate about setting high expectations for all learners and then achieving them.
